Vietnam Card Day 2024

Vietnam Card Day 2024 targets students, young professionals, and families aged 15 to 40, who are eager to embrace digital and online payment methods. The event showcases the dynamic, forward-thinking spirit of the younger generation as they adapt to new technologies.

In order to accelerate the digital transformation of banking and cashless payments, particularly card payments, financial education and communication also play a crucial role. Recently, banking sector communication efforts have been continuously innovative, offering diverse content and modern approaches to ensure public engagement. These initiatives are designed to be easy to understand, memorable, and practical for the public, utilizing the latest technology to maximize reach.

Over three successful events, the Vietnam Card Day series has helped foster the cashless payment habit among young people. Building on the achievements of 2020, 2021, and 2023, Vietnam Card Day 2024 will continue to contribute to the goals of the National Cashless Payment Development Project for the 2021-2025 period and the National Financial Inclusion Strategy through 2025, with a vision to 2030. It aims to create a significant shift towards cashless payments in the economy, with strong growth in usage, turning cashless payment methods into a regular habit, especially in urban areas and gradually expanding into rural and remote regions. The initiative also seeks to improve access to banking services for the economy and promote payment via banks for public services.
